About Us
Anita Hobson-Powell, a distinguished CEO and Board member with a wealth of experience in both the healthcare and sporting sectors. With a remarkable 17-year tenure as a CEO, Anita's visionary leadership and expertise in strategy, governance, self-regulation, and membership values have accelerated the organisation to unprecedented success. 2024 Anita's contributions and achievements to the sector were recognised by being inducted into the Association's Forum Hall of Fame.​​.
Beyond her role as a CEO, Anita has demonstrated strong board directorship in key positions. She currently holds the position of Chair at the National Alliance of Self-Regulating Health Professions and has served as the past Chair of Gymnastics Queensland, Vice Chair of Allied Health Professions Australia and is a valued board member of Gymnastics Australia.
Anita's multifaceted contributions to the association and not-for-profit sector underscore her pivotal role as a leader, shaping the landscape of health, sport, and fitness on both national and organisational levels.
